About the course:                                                                  Download these details:

The CMBD Health and Safety workshop is an ideal introduction to the responsibilities and obligations that arise in the workplace. You need to know how Health and Safety legislation affects you and what you need to do about it. Providing a safe and healthy working environment will increase staff morale, efficiency and output – as well as avoiding expensive litigation.

This course provides an overview of current Health and Safety legislation. It will also offer practical guidance to help you comply with the law and provide a safer working environment for your staff. Good working conditions, the correct personal protective equipment and safety are pre-requisites to motivating people to perform to the best of their ability.

Delegates will be sent a pre-course questionnaire about their job role, experience and type of business or organisation. This will allow the tutor to ensure that any particularly relevant topics are covered during the day. An example of this would be the COSHH regulations (control of substances hazardous to health) being covered in detail should a delegate be involved with such substances, rather than a brief look at the topic where only the usual household chemicals are involved.

Designed for:

The course is a good basic introduction for people who have had no formal training in this area. An example may be an owner/manager of a business that has recently exceeded five employees (the point at which certain requirements come into force) or someone who has recently been given responsibility for this issue in a larger organisation or business. The course is also excellent for raising general awareness of H and S issues, particularly as employees also have legal responsibility to ensure their own safety and that of others.
