Training Director, CMI Tutor and Coach
Overview
Brent is the Director of Training and one of the founding partners at CMBD. He is the lead tutor on the CMI Management & Leadership programmes and his responsibilities include the development of tutors and trainers as well as overseeing course content and quality.
Expertise
With over 25 years of training delivery experience, Brent is extremely proud of the fact that CMBD have achieved fully approved Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Centre status. He has personally helped many hundreds of people to achieve their qualifications and CMBD achieves close to a 100% pass rate.
Brent delivers training and qualifications that range from Level 2 Team Leader (with an equivalence to GCSE level) up to Level 7 Strategic Management & Leadership (with an equivalence to a Masters’ Degree or PGCE). He also designs and co-ordinates bespoke training programmes and interventions for CMBD clients.
Experience
Following the completion of a five year management training programme with a large high-street UK retailer, Brent took up a senior position as the Operations Manager for a major Hong Kong supermarket group. There then followed a period back in the UK where he developed a family run motocross business into the market-leader in its field.
He then joined a major UK motor manufacturer, developing a cutting-edge customer care programme throughout the UK dealer network. This was followed by a move to the international sales team with responsibility for developing Southeast Asia, parts of Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Brent then spent a number of years as a Business Advisor, High Growth and Growth Accelerator coach and as an independent trainer. During this time he also tutored and lectured for both Nottingham Trent University and The University of Nottingham, delivering up to Post-Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) Management, Leadership and Business studies.
In 2003, Brent worked with Mike Epton to deliver a business training programme on behalf of the Adult Education department of The University of Nottingham.........and CMBD was born!
